  9. In the Choose your software and driver screen, choose the ‘Full software and drivers’ option, then click on the ‘Continue’ button.
  10. Wait for the setup program to download the necessary drivers and software on your computer.
  11. Wait for the setup program to launch the downloaded software.
  12. Wait for the extraction of the software package files to complete on your computer.
  13. In the Software Selections screen, proceed with the recommended software by clicking on the ‘Next’ button.
  14. Wait for the installation of the drivers and software to complete on your computer.
  15. Wait for the setup program to search for your printer over the network.
  16. Wait as the device setup process to proceed.
  17. In the Fax Setup Wizard, you can choose to setup fax settings of your printer, but I decided to skip this step by clicking on the ‘Skip’ button.
  18. Wait for the devices setup process to move ahead.
  19. When you see the Setup Complete message, then click on the ‘Close’ link on the top-right corner to close the setup program.

That’s it, you have successfully installed the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e driver package on your computer. Your HP OfficeJet printer is now ready to print, scan and copy pages.

How to Setup HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e with Android Device

You can wirelessly connect your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e printer to your smartphone using the HP Smart app. This app is freely available on Google Play Store for Android users and Apple App Store for iPhone users. Therefore, before proceeding to the setup process given below, you should download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone by visiting the relevant store. Here, I have described the setup process for an Android smartphone.

Make sure that the Wi-Fi network you want to use to connect with your printer is running properly and its router is ready to add more devices.

Steps:

  1. Start the HP Smart app on your smartphone and choose ‘I have reviewed and accept the default Data Collection Settings and the HP Privacy Statement’ option, then tap on the ‘Continue’ button.
  2. Wait for the Smart app to search for the printers.
  3. In the Home screen of the HP Smart app, tap on the ‘Plus’ sign on the top-right corner to add a new printer.
  4. Wait for the app to search for the printers.
  5. When you see the No Printer Found message, then tap on the ‘Set Up a New Printer’ button to begin the manual setup process.
  6. Smart app will ask for your permission to determine the location of your smartphone as it will help in the search of the printer. Give the permission by tapping on the ‘Continue’ button.
  7. Tap on the ‘ALLOW’ button to give HP Smart access to the location of your device.
  8. You will see ‘OfficeJet Pro 9010’ listed in the Add Printer screen, tap on it to proceed.
  9. Smart app will ask you to provide the password of your Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect your printer.  Make sure that you are connecting to the desired wireless network, then type the password and tap on the ‘Continue’ button.
  10. Wait for the Smart app to connect with the printer.
  11. Wait as the Smart app accesses the wireless network.
  12. Wait for the Smart app to obtain the IP address of your HP printer.
  13. When you see the ‘green tick’ sign and the ‘Connections finished’ message, then wait for the Smart app to move to the next screen.
  14. You will be informed that the printer is now connected to the Wi-Fi network, tap on the ‘Continue’ button to proceed.
  15. Wait for the Smart app to check the status of your printer.
  16. You will be asked if you want to connect your printer with other wireless devices, tap on the ‘Not Right Now’ button as you can perform this task afterwards.
  17. When you see the Setup complete message, then tap on the ‘Not Now’ button to proceed. However, if you want to print a document with your printer, then you can tap on the ‘Print a Document’ button.
  18. Tap on the ‘Close’ link to skip this step.
  19. You can now see that your HP printer is shown in the home screen of the HP Smart app.
