2) Install HP LaserJet 5000 Series PS Using INF Driver

Here you will learn about the installation process for the HP LaserJet 5000 Series PS basic driver. The following instructions can be followed for all Windows operating systems.

  1. Click on the ‘Start’ button and choose ‘Settings’ from the menu.
  2. In the Settings page, click on the ‘Devices’ options.
  3. In the Devices page, choose the ‘Printers & scanners’ in the left-pane, then click on the ‘Add a printer or scanner’ option.
  4. Wait for some time, then click on the ‘The printer that I want isn’t listed’ link when it appears.
  5. In the Add Printer window, choose ‘Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings’ option, then click on ‘Next’ to continue.

  11. From the list of available printers, choose the ‘HP LaserJet 5000 Series PCL 5’ printer, then click on the ‘Next’ button.
  12. If you want you can choose the name for your printer or leave the default name unchanged, then click on the ‘Next’ button.

  14. Choose ‘Do not share this printer’ option, then click on the ‘Next’ button.
