Step 2: Locate the Downloaded File
Once the download was complete, I located the file in my Downloads folder. It’s usually easy to find, but if you’ve saved it elsewhere, just head to that location.

Step 3: Run the Installer
With the driver file in hand, I double-clicked on it to run the installer. This kicked off the installation process.

Step 4: Follow the Installation Wizard
An installation wizard popped up on my screen, guiding me through the steps. I simply followed along, agreeing to any terms and conditions and choosing where I wanted the driver installed.

Step 5: Connect the Printer
During the installation, I was prompted to connect my HP Laser MFP 1188w printer to my computer. I made sure it was powered on and connected via USB cable.

Step 6: Complete the Installation
Once the printer was connected, the installation wizard automatically detected it. I followed the remaining prompts to wrap up the installation process.

Step 7: Your printer is ready to use now, please try to print out something
