- Wait for the number ‘2’ to turn ‘Blue’ in color, when it does, then click on the ‘Continue’ button to proceed.
- In the Software Selections screen, you can choose the software which you want to install on your computer. I would recommend proceeding with the default selections by clicking on the ‘Next’ button.
- If you haven’t installed Google Chrome browser on your computer, then the HP will recommend you to do that. I have decided to not install Chrome and unchecked the checkbox. Take your decision, then click on the ‘Next’ button. Your choice will have no effect on the outcome of the driver installation process.
- In the Installation Agreements and Settings screen, choose the ‘I have reviewed and accept the installation agreements and settings’ option to accept the End User License Agreement, then click on the ‘Accept’ button.
- In the Printer Analytics screen, if you want to share your printer usage data with the HP website, then click on the ‘Yes’ button. Since, I don’t want to share my data, I clicked on the ‘No Thanks’ button. Your choice will have no effect on the outcome of the installation process of the printer driver.
- In the Application Analytics screen, you will be asked to share your application usage data with the HP website. If you want to share this data with the HP, then click on the ‘Yes’ button. I don’t want to share this data so I clicked on the ‘No Thanks’ button. There will be no impact of your choice on the outcome of the driver installation process.
- Wait for the setup program to install the necessary drivers and software on your computer.
- In the Connect the USB cable screen, you have the option to connect your printer with your computer by using a USB cable and proceed with the onscreen instructions accordingly. If you want to connect your printer later, then choose the ‘Continue the installation without connecting now, I will connect the device later’ option, then click on the ‘Skip’ button.
- When you see the message that the software has been installed successfully on your computer, then click on the ‘Finish’ button to close the printer setup program.
