In this installation guide, I will describe in simple steps the right method of installing the HP 915 inkjet printer basic driver on a Windows computer. The following installation steps can be used for all versions of the Windows operating system.

1. Click on the ‘Start’ button and select the ‘Settings’ option from the menu.
   
2. On the Settings page, select the ‘Devices’ option.
   
3. Select the ‘Printers & scanners’ option in the left pane, then click on the ‘Add a printer or scanner’ link.
   
4. Wait for the ‘The printer that I want isn’t listed’ link to appear, then click on it.
   
5. In the Add Printer window, select the ‘Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings’ option, then click on the ‘Next’ button.
   
6. In the Choose a printer port screen, select the ‘USB port’ option from the list of available ports, then click on the ‘Next’ button.
   
7. Click on the ‘Have Disk’ button.
   
8. Click on the ‘Browse’ button.
   
9. In the Browse window, go to the folder where you have extracted the printer driver files, then select the ‘hpcm725u’ inf file, and click on the ‘Open’ button.
   
10. Verify that the driver folder address is correct, then click on the ‘OK’ button.
    
11. In the list of printers, select the ‘HP LaserJet MFP M725 PCL6’ model, don’t worry, the printer drivers for the HP MFP M725 printer are fully compatible with the HP 915 inkjet all-in-one printer. Finally, click on the ‘Next’ button.
