Question: ERROR E8 IS SHOWING AND PHOTO SCAN AND PRINTING IS NOT BEING POSSIBLE.
Answer: Printer is showing E8 because the scanner’s head could not move properly. It might be stuck — could not move. So, it is a hardware issue. We have a solution to this hardware issue as well. Here’s in a video tutorial, you’ll get a complete (step by step) guide on how to fix this E8 error from HP m1136 printer. Please follow and then share your experience in the comments section below.

FAQ
Q: Printer keeps getting E0 error again and again?
A: This is a hardware issue, please see this solution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNMSTDN77ec
Q: My printer MFP 1136 is showing error E8 i cant understand.
A: As already described in the above given answer, the problem is in the scanner, it could be a hardware issue. Please tap the printer from the side faces and then on the top to fix it or there will be a hardware issue. You may try to power drain your printer. To diagnose software issues, unplug the USB cable from the computer and try to copy a sample document from the printer. If it works in this situation it means the problem in the software, or if it doesn't work then it seems like a hardware issue. If a hardware issue is diagnosed then the scanner unit will be replaced manually.
i have hp 1136 leaserjet printer , it show 8.8 error when i switch on the printer . and all light show on.kindly solve the problem
1) First, try to power drain your printer. Here’s how: https://www.freeprinterdriverdownload.org/power-drain-printer/
2) Detach the laser cartridge from the printer. Clean the cartridge unit properly and also clean all the sensors that are visible easily, and then set it back to the position properly.
3) Also make sure there is no paper-jam occurring and the paper-tears are not stuck in the path of printing as well.
