A: You can install the Windows Vista full driver in compatibility mode to print and scan in Windows 7, this is recommended by HP official website as well. But this will work only on 32bit OS. As you have windows 7 64bit OS, there is no driver available for windows 7.

Anyway, now we can try two more methods to install HP 2840 printer.

Method1 - Driver install using windows update

1. Connect your HP Laserjet 2840 printer with the USB to your computer and make sure the printer is turned ON.
